Re: New course I'm working on
Thanks for the comments guys. Still plenty to do on it, but will post updates. Stan, I am working on Royal Melbourne, and am doing the layout for the Presidents Cup that is being hosted there later in the year. I have laid it all out on the plot, and am about to start elevation work. I have photo's ...

New course I'm working on
Hey guys,
I am working on 2 new courses, 1 real and 1 fictional course. The pic below is my fictional course, with about 4 holes completed. Should be done in 6 weeks or so.

Re: Contest Course Winner
Well done Adam on a great course. A deserving winner.
Congrats to everyone else who entered a course, and also to everyone who voted. Thanks to Dar and Brian for their work on it, and also to Doron for getting it all started and getting interest up.

Re: Contest Course Judging
I'm ok with having the courses listed 1-5. Maybe just a PM to each desinger with course average or something like that, or otherwise place positions could be posted on forum, with the average score.
Either way, I'm not too worried.

Re: New Contest Idea
Yeah, does sound interesting. I just played a course like this on the weekend with a par 31. Maybe make it 2-3 custom libs, just so it's not too limited. As far as style, maybe leave it open, as we all saw the different looking courses that we came up with and I think that worked really well. We cou...

Re: Alkimos Golf Links by Craig Johnson [Contest Course]
Thanks for the comments everyone. The greens were always going to be slightly difficult on my course, as I decided to see how far I could push the undulations while still playing fair. A couple of pins could play difficult in dry or very dry, but they should be just playable. I tested all greens on ...

Re: Gunpowder Bay by Bryce [Contest Course]
I'm guessing that this course is situated in Hawaii or somewhere similar, with the lush green plantings and textures. Again another different looking course with a nice tropical feel. I think the thing I liked the most were the greens on this course. Each one has a very different shape from the next...

Re: Mamacs Retreat Golf Club by Duncan McMonagle[Contest Cou
As the others have said, great looking course with strategic holes. You have to think your way around the course on pretty much every shot. The course looks quite realistic, and I like the setting that it is in. So many bunkers on the course, which is great for strategy and I think I found a lot of ...

Re: Glen Haven by Adam Brandt [Contest Course]
Another great course, Adam. Right from the first tee, you can just see how well made and beautiful the course looks. The blending work on the course is fantastic. Lush green textures give the course a nice contrast from the sand and dunes which surround it on some holes. Very good layout as the cour...
