Re: What was the first course you ever downloaded?

Deer Hollow, on April 11, 2001. I played it on 99 with ty blue, pepperjack, No Aces and jps1. It took about 3 hrs to dl and another couple of hours to install (I was so stupid!!!) I lost to all of them, btw. Lol, don't ask me why but I still have all my sheets from Cases Ladder. Those were the days!

Re: Cookies?

I know there's a shorter way but I've forgotten it. Anyway if you type in "billmurraycaddyshack" the golfer will fly. However, it'll also change certain settings like clubs, so type it in first then go back to check that your settings are correct.

Re: We need a little bit of lateral thinking

Lack of libraries/panos would be the #1 problem. A course can be "built" anywhere... well, almost anywhere if you have the "ingredients."

Re: Snowdonia as she goes ....

Pyecraft, if I'm not confusing what you've just said, it really doesn't matter what you save the arc file as, what only matters is what you make your final course name save is on the file->course info(?) For example you could have: Glyndwr.arc save as Glyndwr.crs and Snowdonia as the course name. Lo...

Re: What's in your bag?

I haven't played in several months, but my established player's GIR is 60.3% in just over 100 full rounds (1842 holes.) My driving accuracy is 81.6% and avg. putts/GIR is 1.37 (which saved my game), an an avg. score of 68.1. Par 3s oddly enough have always killed my game (P3 avg. 3.0); I probably ha...

Re: Indy are you out there?

Yes I'm still out here. I've been working pretty much fulltime 3-11 since April so I haven't been playing/designing or anything but I still linger and post occasionally. I'm glad to see that a few new courses have been posted. My daughter remarried a very nice young man our family has known since he...

Re: Castle Stewart

Whatever the hole # is that's heading toward the castle should be laid out facing the castle on your pano. With that as your guide, your directions are laid out for the other holes. It still might take a little T&E but, 'twer I, that would be my starting point.

Re: My latest work

If by course debris you mean old divots, there's a place in the game itself. Go to options -> course and next to golfer is a check box for course debris. Unchecking it means you start fresh each game.

Re: Any tips?

A couple of other suggestions. First, you can dimension your plot to the size you desire. Second, lay down a main deep rough texture as close as possible to the total dimension of your plot. This you'll never pick up, but for some reason (to me) it seems easier to do universal features on a "se...
