Re: Any tips?
Our very first course (on '99 back in 2001, we tried the wizard without really understanding how it, or really anything else worked. We got through 13 or so holes before it shattered, but we learned a lot. IF you use the wizard, don't add water because it won't allow you to route over hazards. Selec...

Re: Windows 8
Polslad, that's as good a reason as any to stick with my '06 Dell and XP. The more they "advance" Windows the more BS it becomes. My future son-in-law has a PC with W7; I hate it, but I fear that they're going to make a computer someday that our old favorites are going to be like DOS-based...

Re: Courses Crashing
Still, I've had courses crash since 2001 when I first installed PGA99. I started with ME then updated to the new XP Home a year later (ME stunk bad.) I've had to reinstall everything several times (3 or 4, I think) but I usually got that weird error message (sorry can't recall it now) which had a fi...

Re: Out of bounds
You can also set as many OOBs on a hole as you like (or required.) Be aware that a shot path CANNOT cross over an OOB line.

Re: Suprising season
Yes, I consider "live" those players I'm actually playing against visibly for the round. Then there are those I'm not playing against but are actively playing their round at the same time I am (the 17 groups before and after I tee off); those who play closest to 17 holes during that time s...

Re: Suprising season
Hmm, that could be. As I said before I've never been able to figure out how the AI works. I do know that when I actually play with the comp player, 90%+ of the time they play pretty lousy "live." I got to where at the end of last year I'd try to have an uneven number of players so I could ...

Re: Suprising season
Are you talking about TOTAL 4 round scores of -30-40?? What I found last year is that a few players would shoot ~-8 for the first round (generally when they were straight computer, ie, before YOU teed off and comp players were hole by hole; after the first round -4-6 seemed pretty much the norm, wit...

Re: Suprising season
I have no idea what it is that causes some players to completely dominate the tour while others do absolutely nothing. It often seems like it's the real tour's lesser players that dominate in this game and vice versa.
Your top 10 seems to have a pretty good pedigree though.

Re: Cougil's Keep Golf Song
It's called "The Golf Song" by The Arrogant Worms. It was used on another course (I have absolutely no idea which one.) It is available on You Tube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esC8diclv8U .) Edit: Check in your course files, it should be in whichever folder you installed CK as a separ...
