Bison Ridge

Post by Jim Hall »

Haven't done any planting yet. Really just playing around with a bunch of different things I haven't tried before, including blends and custom objects. Eight holes finished at this point.

I really like the blends youve got going. It can really make a difference in a course. Something like Glen Haven blends blew me away when the 1st hole screen came up. The background is great too. Since Ive gotten back into the game I need to check out some of your courses, theres lots to choose from!

That looks fabulous Jim. Great way to begin a design.
Will be keen to see more screenies as it developes.

Planted hole 1. Keeping the cacti and trees to a minimum as I sort of like the open look. Thoughts?

Very inviting Jim.
If you have Photoshop, play around with the object bitmaps.
Using magic eraser on lowish opacity will negate much of the 'blocky' look of standard PGA planting.
Keep going!

Thanks for the tip. But tried the magic eraser and it didn't really do anything for my objects. However, what really made things look significantly better was using two filters, "reduce noise" and "dust & scratches".
