This go 'round, grabbed some scenic joy.

First, let's go to Ladybower by Stewart Cusworth, which is in the Peak District of an English national park. Though I remember some critical remarks on this one, I think its a decent course and deserves a play.

Round 1: Strong, pin 2, Blue Tee, normal
Round 2: Mild, pin 4, Black tee, hard

And then we'll finish with the golf master Steve Holden's Boulder Pass, in the Happy Hollow golf complex. Contrasting the prior course, which was a decent outing, we get this one...which shows a skilled artist cultivating at the limits of a design software.

Round 3: Medium, pin 3, White Tee, soft
Round 4: Medium, pin 5, Black Tee, normal

Hi Guys,

just realised that I had forgotten to post my final round at Sleeping Bear Downs. I, like others, found these conditions much harder to handle than the previous round, and the score reflected that. I left myself some rip-roaring putts, but it was great fun trying to figure out the lines and pace to take.

On to Ladybower.

Round 1 at Ladybower. Strong winds are challenging to get to the greens, but the greens are very friendly if you get there.

unfortunately, I have not received any rounds from Randy or Juan for our last tournament, so here are the results. Galen, you and I got a bit of a hiding from a very consistent Tarheel, although we did manage a small fightback in Round 4.

here's my Round 1 file at Ladybower, played against Tarheel. Another great contest, in difficult conditions. Thankfully, my putter saved me on quite a few holes, as it was not easy to get your approach shots close in the strong winds.
