ImageHole #8 at Samuel's Crossing is a short 396 yard par 4. Off the tee you have a large landing area with a bunker on either side but a 300 yard drive will find water. Your approach over the pond to a figure eight green that is protected left and rear by bunkers shouldn't be a problem. Your shooting for a birdie here!!

LOL, I got them today and can now put a name with Tarheel. Many , many years ago I found that designing was a total relaxant for me. I just drift off and start working on a course and everything else disappears. I've quit on several occasions for a couple or more years each but always come back because I enjoy it so much and your right when you say that JN6 surpasses all other game engines (IMHO) and I learn something new everytime I design a course. That being said it's always nice to know your work is appreciated and I Thank You for reaching out like you did!!

ImageHole #9 at Samuel's Crossing is a 531 yard par 5. Downhill from tee to green this dogleg feeds into a figure eight green that is very hard to stick in two. With a wide fairway you can grip and rip from the tee but must stay clear of the bunkers on either side to score. The right side of the fairway will give the best opportunity to reach in two but most will lay up and chip for the birdie. Water fronts the green with an ample bunker behind it and a smaller one to the right.

ImageWe're at the turn on Samuel's Crossing and looking at a 481 yard par 4 on Hole #10. The landing area off the tee slithers down to a narrow passage guarded on both sides by bunkers that must be avoided to score well here. With the misty hillside in the backdrop your looking at a long iron to reach an elevated green surrounded by 4 bunkers. Getting close to the pin is crucial on this very difficult green and par here is well earned!
