I am interested in trying my hand out at designing for this game. I understand I'll need an activation code to get the full version, is that correct? Also, the PC I use for all of my course designing is not connected to the internet, will that prevent me from being able to use WGC in any way? Thanks!

Yes you need an activation code to get into the designer. You do not have to be online to design or play the game. You can make a shortcut directly to the game exe instead of going through the portal. You will have to download the game through the portal somehow though. I'm not sure but you probably could download all of the game files on one computer and then transfer them over to another. If you want an activation code let me know.
