British Isles Golf Course

Hole 4 – Royal Dornoch

Royal Dornoch is considered by some to be the finest links course in the world and possibly the most captivating golf course of any type. Legend has it that in 1980, Ben Crenshaw played the course during a break in his preparations for the Open Championship. On his return the secretary of the R&A asked how he'd found the course. Crenshaw is reputed to have replied “Let me put it this way. I nearly didn't come back.”

I've taken the par 4 4th, Achinchanter, for this compilation course. At 418 yards it's not a terribly long hole, but features a hog's back fairway and a tough green. I've slightly levelled off the fairway in this creation and played about with the green until I was happy with the way in played in cybergolf. Still, it remains a good par 4.
