British Isles Golf Course

Hole 14 – Ganton

Ganton is actually an inland course in NorthYorkshire although it plays and feels very much like a genuine links. Originally called the Scarborough Golf Club it appointed Harry Vardon as professional just five years after opening. The 14th is a driveable par 4 although it needs a helping wind to be a certainty. There is a line of bunkers diagonally across the fairway starting at around 240 yards and needs a good carry to make it. The green is defended by a bunker on the left and I've created slopes on the green that feed the mishit shot to the bunker. Yes, it's an eagle opportunity, but can also cause you to run up bogey or worse.
