Here is a course from a seasoned designer that my girls and I happen to like a lot. I hope that does not make me bias in my review. The Mill Creek plot is an excellent one - love the collaboration course that came from it :) It is hard to follow that; especially when you have the resume that Ogilvy has with the architect. There is a lot of variety here. The planting is just right and the layout is pleasing enough. The sounds are mixed in to perfection. Some of the mounding seems a tad bit extreme, but not very distracting. While it is not Mill Creek, it certainly is worthy of a download and repeat rounds of play. If you have never played a course by this architect, may I encourage you to do so - start with Gut Kaden, a truly inspiring course :) Thanks Ogilvy for sharing another enjoyable course with the community :)

Thank you very much sandwedge. I am glad, you and your girls like it. :)

Yes, I also think the Mill Creek collaboration course is a very good golfcourse that was build from great designers, and I like it very much too (thanks guys
for doing that).

I would like to say thank you to Brian for giving us the Mill Creek plot, I was able to use. It was a huge help and made it so much easier
for me to get this course done.
I downloaded the plot a long time ago, after Brian started the collabaration project and he finished the first hole (hole 14).
I was thinking about to ask, if I can join the project, but because of diffrent reasons I couldn´t join, so I did not ask.
After a while I started very slowly to work just a little bit here and there on the plot and created my 17 holes around Brian´s hole 14.
I finally decided not chance Brians layout on his hole, because I liked it, I just did some little things and changed some plantings, added some other objects
till I thought it fits to my other design work.
To be honest, when I started to work a little bit with the plot, I never thought, I would be able to get 18 holes done, but after a long time
I finally could make it.

One motivation for me to design has always been to try to give at least a little back from what I have recieved from this game and this community and I am
glad and thankful that this community is still here.

Keep on going !!!
Greetings from germany

Boris,
It is great to see you back designing courses for PGA2000. This is your first course since August 2008. I was beginning to think we had lost you for good. Thankfully, you are back. By my count, this is your 14th course, nine of which are A-Listers (including this one). Keep them coming my friend.

As with most well designed courses I know from the first tee if I want to play the course. This is a well designed course and fun to play . I liked the fairways and their mounding very much and the greens are also well done. Not too crazy about the use of Inland Heath for the pano. I think a better choice here would be appropriate . I also like the bunker work as they were well placed and well designed. I noticed a strip of pine needles to the left of #3 fairway which I found a bit odd. I would have liked to see a little more detail on the tees, such as a ball washer now and then just for a little realism. I would also liked to have seen some bridges crossing the stream that runs through out the course. In many cases there is no visable means of crossing the stream from fairway to green. Speaking of the stream , the water is not flat. I suppose one could argure that becauses it is a moving stream and not a lake that it does not have to be flat. I also think your choice of texture (pine needles) to border your stream was a poor choice. I liked the look of the cornfield and the barn on # 13 but not the windmill on # 15. In summary , a very nice course Boris, enjoyed playing it . Spencer.

Excellent release.
Very playable, good on the eye, and a high level of detail incorperated into the design.
What a massive opposite approach to plantings of the other new releases this week, there is a lot of timber on this course, no empty spaces here.
Tempted myself to DL the Mill Creek plot and have a look myself.
Favourite release of the week.
Thanks.
